Gazing from her window into the unsullied innocence of her youth, Ms CeCe Rockefeller summons a story from the long bygone, making for the second instalment of her truly fantastical biography.
Recounting a first love that unfolds in the wake of her sister’s mysterious disappearance, “Ms CeCe Rockefeller: Au Cause Célèbre” unveils an oversaturated, tragically romantic melodrama.
With a voice that has been described as a “glorious fusion of Kate Bush and James Blake,” CeCe captures the profound vulnerability of being in love – and losing it! – furnishing a space for sincerity and sentimentality in the contemporary drag scene.
Bringing her virtuosic two-piece band front and centre, CeCe weaves her story through an eclectic pop repertoire, arranged for keys and cello by musical director Shanon D Whitelock, including songs by Tina Arena, Solange, ANOHNI and Carly Rae Jepsen.

“CeCe Rockefeller: a wonderful strange love child of Jinkxx Monsoon and Kate Bush, with a dash of 1950s socialite Stepford Wife” – Mama Alto
“Embodying the prim elegance and practiced restraint of 1950’s social and sexual repression, Cece drifts from room to room… a lofty, alcoholic Julie Andrews, rummaging through artefacts of her bygone glory days” – Jack Beeby, AussieTheatre
“Vocals that soar with sorrow from a beautiful, heartbroken woman we can all relate to.” – Jake Stewart
