There’s more to the scene than meets the eye…
Presented by Andy Miller
A photograph is shaped more by the person behind the camera than by what is in front of it.
For over three years I’ve documented the diverse faces and colourful moments of our scene – from the exhilarating highs to the crushing lows. Through a series of images, you’ll get a fresh perspective on Queer Melbourne – that challenge preconceived stereotypes and focuses on celebrating our diversity.
Scene photography is more than just the people out and about; it’s also documenting our history, shared experiences and emotions. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and give prominence to understated individuals and groups within our community, with the intent of creating a more inclusive, welcoming community that everyone is part of.
